ENG: Yale T. Herer, B.S. (1986), M.S. (1990), Ph.D. (1990), Cornell University, Department of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. Yale is a Professor in the Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences at the Technion -- Israel Institute of Technology where, between 2018 and 2023, he served as Vice Dean of Programs of Study. Yale has worked for several industrial concerns, both as a consultant and as an advisor to project groups. He also serves on the editorial staff of Naval Research Logistics, Production and Operations Management (POM), and Service Science and has served on the editorial staff of IIE Transactions and Operations Research Letters. Yale has successfully planned and executed four conferences, including the 2010 annual conference for the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society (MSOM). Yale's research interest can be broadly defined as covering Production Planning and Control. More recently Yale has focused his research on the area of Supply Chain Management, especially when integrated with transshipments or other responsive operational activities. Yale has won various prizes including a 1996 IIE Transactions Best Paper Award, the 2002 Mitchner Award in Quality Sciences and Quality Management, a 2008 IBM Faculty Award, and INFORM's 2013 Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in Operations Research Practice.

Yale je profesorem na Fakultě datových a rozhodovacích věd na Technionu – Izraelském technologickém institutu, kde v letech 2018 až 2023 působil jako proděkan pro studijní programy. Yale pracoval pro několik průmyslových podniků, a to jak jako konzultant, tak jako poradce projektových skupin. Je také členem redakčního týmu časopisů Naval Research Logistics, Production and Operations Management (POM) a Service Science a byl členem redakčního týmu časopisů IIE Transactions a Operations Research Letters. Yale úspěšně naplánoval a realizoval čtyři konference, včetně výroční konference Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society (MSOM) v roce 2010. Yaleův výzkumný zájem lze obecně definovat jako pokrývající plánování a řízení výroby. V poslední době se Yale ve svém výzkumu zaměřuje na oblast řízení dodavatelského řetězce, zejména v kombinaci s překládkou nebo jinými operativními činnostmi. Yale získal řadu ocenění, včetně ceny IIE Transactions Best Paper Award za rok 1996, ceny Mitchner Award v oboru vědy o kvalitě a řízení kvality za rok 2002, ceny IBM Faculty Award za rok 2008 a ceny INFORM Daniel H.
